A theory of appreciation derives from astute understanding of value concept-
uality. But a credible horizon of prospecting that is beyond my proximal interest here.

Given value always implies value having been given, either by choice or by default.

By whose choice? What’s the implicature of “given” value? How much of situ-
ational valuing is giving relevance versus applying given relevance? How goes the proximal ambiguity of discerning value?

Value is given to there being what matters in a given situation, as well as “by”
a situated action or situated thing (situated by itself?). There being situationally oriental value is given direct relevance, as well as preferred values are given by/to the action, thing, or value; and also, relevance is discovered. Discovered rele-
vance is likely engaged with given relevance, given by interest as well as by the given action itself (or thing “itself”). There being situated value and relevance may be an integrally reciprocal phenomenon.

So, appreciating is oriented (implicitly, at least) by interested relevance which belongs to the event of appreciating. An initial resonance of situation and dis-
cerned action or thing implicitly requires distinguishing kinds of interest, thus kinds of value.

Interested relevance may give value to the action or thing. Or a valued action or thing may entail a newly relevant situation.

But, while actions or things may have integral value, situations are integrally valuable only relative to given interests of action which are deemed integral to one’s interests. Integral value can be discovered for actions, things, and situations (pre-given to and for interest in action), but a better orientation is that integral value is given by one’s preferred interest.

Appreciating is for appropriative interests. The event of appropriation implies appreciating beforehand. Its astuteness of perceptive evaluating is relative to valuative interest or given relevance for actional interest.
