That’s high ability to appreciate, of course—ability to highly appreciate; high ability to highly appreciate.

Anybody may have a preferred sense of appreciation and valuing. Earlier, I asked rhetorically “What may be the better cohering of better values thereby orienting better-oriented action?” (ending there), That entails an appeal for dwelling with better values: What are the better values?—relative to what conception of cohering?

That would be (to my mind) a cohering of better valuing for the sake of better-oriented action for a given life.

The given life here is mine. But I won’t claim exemplarity of my life. I’m sharing interest in prospecting what can be generally said, valuably (I hope) and validly
(I claim) about better-oriented action through better valuing. What may be exem-
plary about my venture is for you to value.

I can share my sense of high appreciability in hope that it’s useful for thinking conceptually about value. But there’s no formal theory about valuing and action to be finally had, because learning never ends for ever-developing minds in culturally evolving life.

There’s a large literature on “the” theory of value and action. On what basis does one prefer one view over another? How best do we avoid becoming merely syn-
optic of the “library,” instead making some progress?

“Progress”? In what sense? I have my preferences, of course.

And I have my proximal horizon; and my primary horizon, so far.

But that’s “too much” now for a useful sense of high appreciability. I can say with confidence that my horizons are worthwhile, but that’s the horizonal sense of worth or Value which provides an anticipatory background far beyond a focus
on an appeal of high appreciability itself.

However, it all implies that I have my fidelities. Anyway, understanding which fidelities a person has is integral to what conception of appreciability the person may enjoy.

My fidelities include a sense of intelligent life whose manifold conception of individuated intelligence serves a sense of high lucidity in flourishing, which anticipates a high sense of person-al “humanity,” suggested by the ending of “astute valuing”: “How may idealization be best aligned with interests of better humanity?,” now relative to an appreciation of highness (as value conceptuality) and an initial prospecting of appreciability.

An air of circular narrativity here tropes the endless reflectivity of conceptual venturing in Our ultimately open evolving (practically and conceptually).

But that venturing is beyond the scope of my present discussion, which sprouts paths of growth to come: prospecting a conception of intelligent life, high individ-
uation, and high lucidity which will allow better detailing of what, to my mind, high appreciability can be, especially (I want to show) as capability for constel-
lating significantly (importantly, Valuably) and practically.
