  reason in relation to rationality

When we talk about “reasons,” we’re thinking about rationality, which pertains to warranting or justifying or explaining action. Reason itself (active intelligence) best orients action in accord which important intentions—the more sophisticated, the better, for being well. Its confidence is self-evaluable relative to intended interest and result of actualizing intent. Reasoning for action is about reason aiming for enactive satisfaction.

A reason for action or the topic of plural reasons for action (as generality) is about responding to need for explanation or warrant/justification. Analysts sometimes address the proffered distinction between “internal” reasons and “external” reasons. Is the latter derivative of the former? Are they equiprimary?

However, all reasons for action are about rationality of action, i.e., about validity-dimension relevance: what’s relevantly implied, in terms of validity. This easily gets very complicated (as I’ve expressed in a discussion that I want to re-frame and expand).
